As I was driving to this gorgeous venue in the pouring rain with my windshield wipers on full blast, I prayed for it to stop so Emma and Jacob could have the perfect day. I thought about how frantic Emma must be worrying about the weather, as she had planned to have an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Virginia mountains. When I arrived, the rain had stopped briefly. When I turned the corner from walking around the bridal suite, I couldn't believe my eyes. The mountain views took my breath away! I now understand why they call it Eagle View. This place is incredible. Entering the bridal suite, I found Emma in good spirits despite the rain. Emma knew this day was about marrying Jacob, and that's all that ultimately all that mattered to her. Jacob was also relaxed and ready for the day. That's just how these two roll, and one of the things that let me know they were a great match for each other.
Every thing about this wedding was incredibly beautiful, and the venue owners were so very accommodating. It really makes a difference when everyone can work together to make the couples wedding day perfect, and that's exactly what we did for Emma and Jacob. There were a lot of emotional moments, some of which also hit me right in the feels. From the first look with Emma's Dad trying to hold back the tears, to her Mom joining with them in the father/daughter dance, you could really feel the love this family has for each other. And let's not forget Emma and Jacob's young love story. I was so impressed by the goals and aspirations these two have for their lives together, and just how much they love each other.
